Emily Coward, Accessibility Lead 
Emily joined Nationwide in January 2020 and leads the Digital Accessibility team.
Emily has worked in digital accessibility for the past 15 years. As a front-end developer and accessibility consultant, Emily has helped many organisations such as Royal Mail, BBC and the National Trust improve their digital offerings for people with disabilities.
Emily believes that digital accessibility isn’t just about meeting technical guidelines but instead, adapting to the different needs that people with disabilities have, and understanding how to build digital products and services that not only meet those needs but also make services easier for everyone to use.
